Arsenal Star Gabriel Jesus Considering Premier League Move to Revive Career
Gabriel Jesus could remain in the Premier League next season despite uncertainty surrounding his future at Arsenal, with the Brazilian forward reportedly open to joining another English club in pursuit of regular playing time.
The 29-year-old has found opportunities limited under Mikel Arteta and is now reconsidering his short-term plans at the Emirates Stadium. While his long-term intention is still to see out his Arsenal contract, which expires in June 2027, the lack of consistent minutes has led the striker to explore other possibilities within England’s top division.

ESPN reports that Jesus is willing to listen to offers from Premier League sides as he aims to rebuild his standing as a leading attacking option. The former Manchester City player is searching for a club where he can return to being a central figure in attack after a frustrating campaign in north London.
Much of Jesus’ recent struggle has followed his recovery from a major ACL injury that ruled him out for 11 months. Since making his comeback in December, he has scored six goals in 27 matches for Arsenal. However, recurring fitness concerns and inconsistent form have reduced his influence within Arteta’s squad rotation.
Although the striker has often spoken emotionally about Palmeiras and his ambition to return to the Brazilian club in the future, he is currently focused on extending his stay in European football. Jesus previously revealed a "desire to one day return to boyhood club Palmeiras," but a move back to Brazil does not appear imminent.
One of the strongest motivations behind his wish to stay in England is the opportunity to break a major Premier League record. Jesus currently sits four goals away from overtaking Roberto Firmino as the highest-scoring Brazilian player in Premier League history. Firmino finished his Liverpool career with 82 goals in the competition.
After spending nine full seasons in the league, Jesus believes remaining in the Premier League would give him the best platform to surpass that mark quickly and further cement his reputation in English football history.
There are also practical advantages tied to staying in the United Kingdom. Remaining in England would help Jesus secure British citizenship later this year, an achievement that could benefit both the player and any future club interested in signing him.
British citizenship would allow Jesus to qualify as a home-grown player for squad registration purposes, a status highly valued by Premier League clubs due to league regulations. That added benefit makes staying in England an increasingly attractive option for the Arsenal forward as he evaluates his next move.
